The application web link will be included here at the bottom of this page on Wednesday Dec. 9th at noon
Crook County will have over $675,000+ from the State of Oregon from CARES Act legislation. These grant funds are made available for small businesses, sole proprietorships, and qualified 503 (c) nonprofits in this program.
The State of Oregon has put forth eligibility requirements as noted on our main grant page (www.coic.org/grant/). They have also given responsibility in program design to Jefferson County Commissioners that allow them to tailor this new grant program. The objective is to create the greatest positive impact on area organizations struggling due to the economic disruption of Covid-19.
Our community is suffering in many ways due to this pandemic. Unfortunately, the reality is that the funds available are still limited and not all organizations will be eligible, nor will there be enough funds to distribute to all that apply.
Crook County Commissioners will evaluate all eligible applicants and determine through a designated ranking system if a grant award will occur and the amount of the award. Past awards that were first come, first serve created a situation where many were locked out from applying because they simply could not get there in time. The window was closed early as funds where almost immediately absorbed for potential distribution.
This will not be the case on this grant program as ALL ELIGIBLE APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED. THE GRANT WINDOW WILL REMAIN OPEN THROUGH WEDNESDAY DEC 16th at 11:59PM. Please, that your take your time to ensure your application is accurate.
Helpful for application preparation:
- Be able to determine decline in revenue for any month from March 2020 to November 2020 compared to same period in 2019
- Have available your necessary Covid-19 related expenditures due to the pandemic
- Have the number of FTE (full time employee) information available. Please refer to OED Form 132 if applicable. This would be for both pre-pandemic and current pandemic timelines.
Award Ranges will be up to $10,000 with potential exception to a higher amount.
The range is to allow for discretion of the Commissioners based on the strength of the applications and number of applications. It is anticipated that not all applications will receive grants.
PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME TO READ THE QUESTIONS AND BE CLEAR WHAT YOU ENTER. WE WILL REMIAN OPEN UNTIL WEDNESDAY MIDNIGHT. ALL ELIGIBLE APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED. THIS IS NOT FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED
