Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

 

COIC utilizes its own internal GIS capacity to support planning, economic development, natural resources and transportation projects.  COIC also provides GIS services to local jurisdictions and other partners – either as stand-alone projects or “bundled” with other planning and associated services.

Recent projects have included:

• Analysis of demographic trends in Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson Counties
  
  
• The Coordinated Resource Offering Protocol (CROP) identifying locations of upcoming biomass removal projects on Central Oregon public lands.
  
  
• Cascades East Transit local service area maps
  
  
• Analysis of environmentally and economically feasible juniper harvest areas within 100 miles of Prineville, OR (Juniper Group)
